Annabel Lee
Annabel Lee Whitlock is a character in the webtoon "Nevermore", she is portrayed as this picture perfect girl with unmatched beauty. She is a character based on a poem made by Edgar Allen Poe, called "Annabel Lee" which is a poem about a lady so beautiful that even the angels envy her.
Her original story
In her original story by Edgar Allan Poe, the narrator has a profound grief over the death of his beloved, Annabel Lee, whose love was so intense it even aroused the envy of angels, leading to her untimely demise.
Her designs
School Uniform
Long platinum blonde hair with wavy hair, swept back and a lot of bounce. She wears a white blouse with a black bowtie covered up by a black fitted jacket with white buttons, below this she has a grey skirt and a pair of long black boots.
Spectre (the Lady in white)
In her spectre form, named the Lady in white, Annabel Lee is seen in a wedding dress, with a red heart in the middle of her chest showing wear she had been shot before dying. She also has a veil over her face, no shoes, white nails, and all white eyes.
Her Death
Unfortunately, we do not know the exact details of her death, however what has been given thus far is that Annabel Lee died on her wedding day to the people she loved and cherished most due to being shot in her chest.
Character Trait
Annabel Lee is usually a level-headed lady, She keeps things formal and always asks like a proper lady, However, other times usually because she's doing things out of self-interest or when she feels like Lenore doesn't care about her she loses it and starts having a breakdown. She is very smart & intuitive, always planning ahead for anything, always unpredictable, not letting anyone get the upper hand on her. Most importantly, she is manipulative, setting pieces making sure she can get what she wants without fail, no matter who it is if she finds them important or strong enough to be a part of her plans.
Character development
Annabel Lee is a very manipulative person that only cares about one person in the story, her name is Lenore. However, Lenore isn't happy that she doesn't want friends because she does care about her friends and doesn't want to leave them to the world of the dead while only her and Annabel escape. After they had an argument about this Annabel realized Lenore may be right and she tries to become friends with the only person in her group that truly sticks by her. She doesn't really know how to make friends so she does struggle in asking if they could be "true" friends. She also ends up saving Ada which she wouldn't have done at the start.
Love interest
Although neither have fully recalled all their memories, Lenore is Annabel's lover in her past life. They secretly got engaged to each other while Lenore was disguised as a man from a wealthy family. While in the current story they aren't dating, they do know that they loved each other in the past and definitely have a close relationship however they hide it from all their friends.
Introduction
She is the second person introduced in the story, She is first seen in the prologue episode where lenore stumbles upon her on the ground in a panic while being attacked by some sort of white orb
Spectre Abilities
Withered Peonies
Annabel's peony decorations that she has on her hair constantly leave behind withered petals that she is able to control. These petals can be used both to cut or to block other people's movement.
Rigor Mortis
Annabel is able to summon a white fog that she is able to control. This mist cause cold to the people in it and seems to slow their movement.
Kiss of Death
Anytime that Annabel kisses a person when this is activated it causes them to die.
